North America

The journey began In LA where I made the arduous 7 hour drive from Southern to Northern California. Finally making it to San Francisco where I met up with Marc Piro. We made our way to Gilman St. and saw some people yell and scream into microphones, while kids jumped and sang along. I watched friends heads bow as the 49ers got beaten in their semi final on their way to the Superbowl. Over the next 12 days, we made our way south to San Diego, Sleeping on the couches of various acquaintances. Stopping to surf in as many towns as we could along the way. San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Manhattan Beach, Newport, San Clemente, Del Mar and Santa Cruz were merely a few of the ones we stopped by. Waves were caught and many new friends were made. We were Men of leisure and without a plan, somehow managed to get back to SF in one piece. I turned 28, I saw Wesley Eisold and his newest project Cold Cave and then, I was gone. Somehow I made my way up to Canada, where its snowy and cold. The lovely Chelsea Stewart is here, with a warm glow she speaks highly of this place. I've ridden boards in the snow, consumed (too much)vodka and managed to see Wes(and Nat Perry) once more in Vancouver. In a few short days I'll make my way back to LA, then onto the great unknown.
